The download link below contains a Microsoft Excel file which will allow you to calculate the number of runs required to win in rain reduced matches for both League and the John J. Mallen t20 Cup Competition.
Changelog:
Ver1.00 | Document Issued |
Notes:
1. | This file requires Microsoft Excel to open and is only required when a match is reduced in length from the scheduled 40 or 20 overs for either innings. |
2. | When in the file, ensure that the correct table is used for either League Matches or John J. Mallen t20 Cup. |
3. | 1st Innings Maximum Overs Available (A). Enter the Maximum Numbers of Overs available for the 1st Innings using the drop down. For a non-interrupted match, this would be 40 but will be lower when an innings is reduced either by weather or a pre-emptive decision. |
4. | Overs Received (B). Enter the total number of Overs Received by the team batting first using the drop down (separate drop downs for overs and balls). |
5. | Was the innings ended early? (C) Answer 'Yes' or 'No' using the drop down. For a non-interrupted match this would be no. It will be the only option available when the 'Overs Received' equals the 'Maximum Overs Available'. |
6. | Number of Runs Scored (D) Enter the number of Runs Scored in the first innings. |
7. | Average Run Rate Displays the 'Average Run Rate' as determined from the information input in A-D. |
8. | 2nd Innings Number of Overs Available (E) Enter the Number of Overs Available for the second innings. Initially, this will be the number of overs scheduled at the start of the innings but will change after further interruptions as determined using the tables provided in the League Rules. |
9. | Number of Runs to Tie This will display whether a 'Tie' is available and the number of runs to achieve. |
10. | Number of Runs to Win This will display the 'Number of Runs to Win' the match. |
