For clubs planning on playing friendlies this weekend and using Play-Cricket Scorer Pro, please review the advice from the Developers below regarding an error which has come to light over the past few weeks which has been causing PCS Pro to crash.
Recently there have been a handful of Help Desk tickets regarding a PCS Pro crash when users have been clicking on the Scorebook tab (or opening via Statistics -> Scorebook), for which we provided the broad work-around of renaming the _Layouts folder.
We can now confirm that this problem occurs when the Scorebook view is open(ed) and there is a ‘bowling milestone’ (e.g., a bowler has taken five wickets in an innings) in the notes. We have now fixed this issue, which will be available in the next production release, but obviously this means it will not be available in time for recreational cricket this weekend.
Consequently, it is best that all scorers do not use the Scorebook in the scenario where there has been a bowling milestone, and that those scorers who use the Scorebook as their default view use the Scorecard view instead, until the fix is released.
