Scorers Training is back

From Kevin Hutchinson, the YCB scorers’ officer:

We have reached the end of another cricket season but instead of putting your scoring kit away why not take the opportunity to brush up on your Scoring skills or try learning a new Scoring technique.

With the opportunity for us to return to teaching face-to-face courses I’m keen to let you know what is available.

Introduction to Scoring

Get to know the basics or refresher your knowledge of them.

Club Scorer

Designed for those in the early stages of their scoring careers it will give you the tools you need to confidently complete your scorebook.

Electronic Scoring (PCS App)

For those existing Scorers who want to step from the traditional scorebook to using a tablet or mobile. (Not suitable for beginners, recommend doing the Introduction to Scoring first just to make sure you are up to speed with your scoring technique)

Electronic Scoring (PCS PRO)

Score like the professionals using a laptop and the ECB’s premier scoring software. (Not suitable for beginners, candidates should be competent existing scorers)

Linear Scoring

An alternative paper-based method of scoring, ideal to compliment Electronic Scoring as your back up system.

If you would like further details or to attend any of the above courses please get in touch with Kevin directly at khutchinson@talk21.com, who will then look to schedule training courses for you to attend.

Where would you like your scoring to take you?

The ECBACO offers a Scorer Pathway which allows members to work towards recognised scorer qualifications which can offer opportunities to take your scoring to the next level. The latest Education & Accreditation Pack is below, have a look through and if this is anything that interests you, then Kevin Hutchinson, ECBACO Yorkshire County Scorers Officer would love to hear from you.

Most of you are probably happy just as you are, and that is fantastic as clubs throughout the county rely on talented, dedicated individuals to support their teams. For those that wish to progress, there are opportunities for training and development.
